Hotel Information: Life on Cozumel is laid back, and this resort exemplifies the attitude. Families, couples, and singles find plenty to do, or time and space to do nothing at all but rejuvenate around the pool and on the beach. It's a low-key, relaxed place with no pretentiousness and a generous supply of warm Mexican hospitality.

Amenity highlights: The Melia Cozumel All-Inclusive contains two good-sized swimming pools surrounded by large sundecks. One pool is adults-only and includes a swim-up bar. An activities pool for adults and children lies in the resort's center. On this pool's deck are ping-pong tables and a ceramics painting palapa where guests purchase and paint figurines and bowls. Behind a hedge lies a shuffleboard court. The beach is down a short stairway from the main pool terrace. Shallow but long, it offers palm trees and thatched-roof palapas for shade, hammocks, and lounge chairs for sunning and napping.
